Startime Variety is a Performing Arts Society
based in the Black Country within the Dudley Borough of the West Midlands.
Startime Variety provides affordable, family-friendly live entertainment for the community, and supports local charities by donating the profits from these shows each year.
Startime has awards in honour of it's previous members. See our previous shows page for our winners:
Mike Clifford Award: This Award is voted for by the cast and crew of each show, for who they feel has worked hardest and/or put in the best performance to make the show a success. The award is named after Mike Clifford who was a hard working, integral and much loved member of Startime, who will be sadly missed.
Tony Vincent Award: This Award is given to the cast member who the audience feel has given an outstanding performance and made the show most enjoyable. The award is given in memory of a much loved and dedicated member of Startime, his enthusiasm and dedication made him an integral part of Startime for over twenty years. Tony had many roles within the society including: Chairperson, Treasurer, Front of House, Compere, and musician; as well as his many brilliant performances on the stage. He is sadly missed.
Sheila Darby Award: This Award is voted for by the membership at the AGM to recognise the best contribution to the society that year.
